About Dr. Hamburger

Harry A. Hamburger, M.D, M.S. is an internationally recognized ophthalmologist and neuro-ophthalmologist. He joined our practice in April of 2020, after working in Northern Israel teaching eye surgery, and gaining accreditation for an ophthalmology residency program at Ziv Hospital.

Dr. Hamburger graduated from Thomas Jefferson Medical School in 1979, and completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit. He then completed a fellowship in Neuro-ophthalmology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Hamburger also has a Master’s Degree from Nova Southeastern University in communication. He is a clinical professor at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.

Following his fellowship at Bascom Palmer, Dr. Hamburger founded the Kendall Eye Institute, where the first in-office cataract surgery was performed in Miami Dade County in 1986. He joins Dr. Levine with 35 years of experience taking care of patients. Dr. Hamburger enjoys examining patients and explaining their eye health issues. He will be performing complete eye examinations as well as diagnosing and treating patients with diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma, eye infections, retinal problems, vision loss, and double vision.
